  • ATA Window Gallery Opening: Together Forever

Together Forever is part of an ongoing body of work that explores the way in which media projections of reality increasingly and with greater immediacy distort our perception of experience. Starting with news media, these trickle-down distortions permeate, then supersede, the objective happenstance of occurrence. The design of these new truths is seductive, its arc a shadow of our own fears and desires. By embracing this veiled stream of myth I hope to rechannel it, to slow it down long enough to catch the mirror in its surface. Together Forever is part time based installation, and part experimental brand identity.

Be the mirror. It’s up to you now.

ATA Window Gallery Opening Reception: Adela VondruskovaCorpusDelicti
    Monday, May 5th, 7:00pm

The border between our bodies and the exterior world is porous.  The limit between the exterior and the interior, so definite at one time, can become blurred.  How can we imagine what is hidden from our sight? Medical imagery appears so remote from the reality of our flesh. The series Corpus Delicti  is an attempt to make sense of this dichotomy.

Adela Vondruskova was born in Czech Republic in 1988. After graduating in studio art at the ENSAPC in Paris, she moved to San Francisco in 2012.
